Coughing and mucous
Hi,
Time to ask…
Last summer I was practically living on corn, potatoes, and whole
wheat bread and I got sick–the first time in more than 5 years! (It
acted like pneumonia, but x-rays said it wasn’t that.) That was when I
was trying to be a vegetarian but didn’t have the energy to use a
variety of vegetables. I thought avoiding meat was the main thing in
proper nutrition! (I’m Type O.)
I really wondered if I had a dreaded disease from this sudden illness
that laid me up for more than 2 weeks and lingered on and on and on in
that EVERY night when I went to bed I’d have uncontrollable coughing
until I’d cough up a bunch of mucous. It happened a lot during the
days also, but the most annoying was at night. It baffled the doctor
and we finally gave up trying to figure it out, since I wasn’t feeling
bad after about 6 weeks.
I heard about eating for blood type last summer, but didn’t actually
start investigating it until a few months ago.
I still have some coughing and raspy breathing when I lie down, but
since I have cut WAY back on grains and cheese, cut out corn and
potatoes, and started eating meat, I only need to get out of bed to
get rid of the mucous 2-3 times per week.
A while back someone wrote about mucous in the stomach and those
thoughts keep coming back to me. Is it allergy related? Could the
lectins from living on avoids still be living in my system? I used to
take grape seed extract, chelated minerals, and calcium/magnesium at
night before bed, but I can’t take anything before bed or the coughing
keeps me (and my hubby) awake.
My daughter and son-in-law have allergy problems when they come to our
house, so it will be interesting to me when I go to Oregon for 6 weeks
this summer to see if my problem is envirnomental. Any ideas? I feel
great otherwise.
If that person who mentioned about mucous in the stomach is out there,
does this sound like the same thing as you had/have?
To Health!

Interesting about the meat, Kathleen(in particular), our digestive tract is 3 times as lng as a carnivor and therefore meat takes a very long time to move through, becoming pretty foul by the end. My Doctor told me that after age 40 we do not digest meat well anyway. I have been cutting dowm an meat and trying to eat oily fish instead.
Interested to have your opinions

Dear Jacob:
I am at the end of a nine year battle that left me on oxygen because doctors
overlooked the coughing and chronic pneumonia bouts as an unknown disease. If
fact it was the mold in the foods I was eating. I have taken all dairy,
wheat, corn out of diet and am now new to the type O dieting. I have lost
47lbs.
Instead of doctors testing for food allegies they left me die pretty much. I
am showing them I am a miracle in the works. So, if you have a doctor that
will listen get him to perscribe you zyrtec and stick to the type O diet.
Your cough should go away.

Hi Teresa,
You poor thing! 9 years, huh!? It just galls me to no end how these American Medical Association doctors “practice” medicine on people. They tell you one thing, and if you are lucky to find a holistic doctor who correctly identifies your problem, and you go back to the doctor who is a hit and miss at their practice, and you tell them of the other diagnosis, they start side stepping you and trying to get out of being wrong. That is when I change doctors! By the way, what is zyrtec?

Hi;
Zyrtec is a perscription and it is the only one I will take. Go to their
website www.zyrtec.com
Take Care.
