cells & drinking water

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

I had my blood tested and was told that my cells were not absorbing the
water, and consequently, the water wasn’t hydrating my cells as much as
it could be. Does that make sense to anyone else?

Just some water thoughts,

Hi Kathleen,
It makes sense to me after reading about the research of Patrick
Flanagan and Gael Crystal. You can find info on this if you go to the
Microhydrin web site. I don’t know the www address but just use a
search engine and you will find it.
I have been concerned about this same issue as you. Thanks to

Coughing and mucous

Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

Hi,
Time to ask…
Last summer I was practically living on corn, potatoes, and whole
wheat bread and I got sick–the first time in more than 5 years! (It
acted like pneumonia, but x-rays said it wasn’t that.) That was when I
was trying to be a vegetarian but didn’t have the energy to use a
variety of vegetables. I thought avoiding meat was the main thing in
proper nutrition! (I’m Type O.)
I really wondered if I had a dreaded disease from this sudden illness
that laid me up for more than 2 weeks and lingered on and on and on in
that EVERY night when I went to bed I’d have uncontrollable coughing
until I’d cough up a bunch of mucous. It happened a lot during the
days also, but the most annoying was at night. It baffled the doctor
and we finally gave up trying to figure it out, since I wasn’t feeling
bad after about 6 weeks.

Hi Sheila,
I am no doctor, but I was in a doctors office with a lady who was pregnant,
and had a low tolerance for a lot of foods. They struggled to get her on
some eating plan, but she had a hard time even keeping down a glass of water.
Turns out she ate enough quantity wise but not quality for her body type.
Too much bread. Her body even rejected water. So she was advised to sip
continuously. To get a liquid mineral supplement, and of course eat small
portions of blood type correct foods. She actually had to ‘build up’ to a

more on water…

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

Thanks for your ideas on this…I have always found that the only
time I get any pleasure out of drinking water is when I am extremely
thirsty on a very hot day w/ sweating. At most other times, I have to
force myself to drink water.
Having been very overweight most of my life
(I presently weigh around 550 pounds) makes me wonder if perhaps my body
is as efficient at using water (and therefore requiring a lower than
standard intake) as it is storing fat and perhaps this doesn’t
necessarily have to do with my blood type.
ALSO, does anyone have any experience w/
adding Microhydrin or Crystal Energy to their water and how it has
helped their health ?
I am considering trying this as MAYBE if my water was healthier my body
would recognize this and then would want more of this treated water.
Any other very obese Type O non-secretors out there ?

jump ship/dish soaps

Tuesday, March 30th, 2004

You probably know this already, Tabitha, since you grew up with Shaklee, but
Kathleen may not: Shaklee makes dishwashing soaps, both liquid and then a
powder for the dishwasher, that are environmentally ’safe.’ The company has
won some awards recently for its environmental stance and gotten recognition
from the President (Clinton, I think, not Bush) for its leadership with
environmental issues.
The dishwasher (powder) soap tested to be the best one on the market a few
years ago in Consumer Reports or one of those types of publications/tests,
can’t remember which one for sure. The liquid soap has been around since the
1950s, I think, but has been reformulated a few times, to stay current.
Whenever I try things for dishes and laundry from the natural foods stores,
I can’t believe how bad they are, compared to Shaklee’s, but haven’t tried
any of those other brands, in a few years, I must admit, so maybe they have
gotten better. I have used Cascade from the ‘normal’ grocery store a couple
of times in the last year or two, when I run out of Shaklee and forget to

oops…water

Monday, March 29th, 2004

I forgot to mention that I am type O, non-secretor…perhaps it is just
the type O non-secretors who don’t need as much daily water?

water

Monday, March 29th, 2004

I have a feeling that we may not require the amount of water daily as
the other blood types or as much as has been standardly taught to us (”8
glasses a day….”). Does anyone else have any feelings, thoughts, or
knowledge on this ?
Thanks !

new live right list

Monday, March 29th, 2004

Arianne, without copying out of Dr. D’s books, I can’t do the definitions
justice writing off the top of my head, although I know there are others on
this list who probably can! Both of his books explain these, but especially
the new one, for it even adjusts the food lists for each blood type
depending on these factors (A2 pertains only to type A). I urge you to join
the new Live Right list, for hopefully we all will learn a lot from each
other about these factors. I am in a huge learning curve myself! Meanwhile,
look up the terms in the index of his new book for a quick reference.
Nobody explains this stuff better than the horse’s mouth (bad joke, sorry).

already available! elderberry - vit c

Sunday, March 28th, 2004

Sarah - Dr D has done it all for us!

A new product from NAP provides the beneficial effects of elderberry, rose hips, blueberry and
black cherry in a base of ARA6…

We now have Proberry Caps (thanks to Dr D - again!). Elderberry is a traditional remedy for the
symptoms of flu. In experiments, elderberry was
shown to inhibit replication of all strains of human influenza viruses tested. In an actual
placebo-controlled, double blind study (the scientific
gold-standard so to speak) an extract of elderberry fruit has been shown to be effective for
treating influenza B. What this research showed was
that people using the elderberry extract got better much quicker (more than 70% were better
after 2 days and over 90% of people completely
resolved the infection within 3 days). In contrast, the people given a placebo often needed as
much as 6 days to feel well. How does elderberry
