Hi Cheryl:
Sorry, I don’t have an actual list of foods listing fucose (am not a doctor).
But fucose is: imagine the chemical structure of our blood type as antennae
projecting outward from the surface of our cells into deep space. These antennae
are made up of long chains of a repeating sugar (carbohydrates) called fucose.
Fucose forms the simplest of the blood types - type O. One sugar equals type O.
Blood type A looks just like type O cells except a type A cell has 2 antennae
coming out of it, etc for the other types. A chemical reaction occurs between
your blood and the foods consumed. Lectins are abundant and diverse proteins
found in food. They have agglutinating (gluing or sticking) properties that
affect blood. Lectins gum up interferring with digestion, insulin production,
food metabolism, hormonal balance. The key is to avoid the lectins that
agglutinate your blood type. It goes back to following food lists for type.
Bladderwrack is specifically suited for Os to help normalize sluggish metabolic
rate and enhance weight loss. Deflect is helpful.

You are so right DenisePatricia - ARA6 is great for all blood types in
helping immune function. It is gentle, safe immune enhancing product which
unlike echinacea, works for everyone. Is also excellent source of soluable
fiber, capable of promoting colon health. Proberry 3 is also great choice
for immune support for all blood types. Fucus plus (bladderwrack) is an
excellent nutrient for O’s. The fucose in bladderwrack seems to help
normalize the sluggish metabolic rate and enhance weight loss. Since fucose
is also the blood type O antigen, and adding fucose containing foods into
the diet can help act as a deterrent to unwanted microorganisms and help to
promote immune system balance. Also good for everyone is the multi, herbal
and probiotic formulas for ER. Any more specifics - email me direct…..

thanks Tabitha for your explanation! makes sense to me… I’m going
through a phase of really missing being able to eat most things! I miss
coffee so much,,, and I have a homemade tiramisu in the refrig. that I can’t
touch… arghhh… but my energy level is so good and my stomach’s flat +
I’d really hate to change that!!!
spelt stuff just doesn’t cut it taste wise…. pls. forgive my whining….
I’ll try not to complain… the benefits are worth it ! healthy day O’s,,,
Leslie
It’s an immune supporter. I think I remember that O’s have a
generally hardy immune system and echinacea overstimulates it. ARA-6
is from the larch tree (like pycnogenol is from pine trees) and works
without overdoing it. ARA-6 comes in a loose powder thathas to be
mixed, and ARA Plus is capsule with quercetin, Vit C, a bit of
magnesium, calcium, solium and potassium.
I can’t speak for Vit E. It’s a blood thinner and O’s are bleeders as
it is. Before ER, I was taking it for hot flashes and it worked
great. But I got great, gushing nosebleeds which I couldn’t explain.
Some would wake me up in the middle of the night or I’d be standing
or sitting, doing nothing and WOW blood everywhere! When I got the
ER4YT book and saw the rationale for Vit E Avoid, it was really a
lightbulb moment.
Best to read all you can. Monitor the ER Message Neighborhood for
lots of good questions and recommendations and even the Ask Dr.

I read that Vitamin E and Echinachea are both avoids for Type O,
my partner is Type O with health problems and he needs to take
something that would work the same way as Vitamin E does to prevent
heart disease, and reduce fats in the blood. What can he take that
does the same thing as Vit E, but is not an avoid. Also if he cannot
take Echinachea as it is an avoid for O’s what can he take during the
flu season to prevent colds and flu the same way as Echinachea does.
Also what would the effect be on O’s when they take either Vit E or
Echinachea is it very bad for them?
does anyone know why after being on the ER diet, when you eat an avoid you
have a stronger reaction to it than before the diet? is there some
scientific logic for that? in health, Leslie
<< the AFP … it is a screening test ONLY
not a diagnostic test. It just used to determine whether statistically
you
have a higher risk of birth defects the ONLY way to be certain is amnio.
true… I had the AFP done and it was determined that I was higher risk ,,
they did the amnio and found no probs. It was a scary time because I had to
wait for about 2 wks to find out… Leslie
Interesting story
- tho I do have a couple of comments.
First your OB should have been fired for telling you that you would have
a Down’s child solely based on the AFP … it is a screening test ONLY
not a diagnostic test. It just used to determine whether statistically you
have a higher risk of birth defects the ONLY way to be certain is amnio.
Though having a Level II ultrasound of the fetus has been preported to
provide almost as good of diagnostics as the amnio and without the slight
additional risk of miscarriage that the amnio brings. And there are many
things that can throw off the AFP statistics (wrong due date for one, and even
being overweight seems to skew the results) so its a questionable “test” at best.
FYI There have been 2 recent articles
in USA today on this subject, andthe hepatitis B vaccine has been pulled from
the shelves because it containstoxic mercury.Â
