Rice pasta help needed
It was one of these boards (sorry don’t remember) that recently had a
discussion about rice pasta. The tinkyada (SP) I believe was the brand
everyone is raving about as being so close in texture to wheat. For those of
you who have tried it:
A) do they have brown rice and white rice varieties
B) Are the brown and white rice varieties different in color (ie are the
brown rice pastas darker than regular wheat pasta). Hubby will not eat
something that doesn’t look like what he’s used to LOL. I was gonna get
spelt spaghetti at the store but it is sooooo dark I knew he would not touch
it.

Links would also be appreciated.

I was one raving about it.. to me it looked a little darker (but not much) than
regular pasta and the one I tried was a tube shaped with end / / like that
I
think it’s called penne. I tried it in a chicken soup - yum… and take from a
junk food aholic who despises a lot of the “health” food textures - I don’t
think
he’d notice. Whether it comes in a “white” rice variety I don’t know …. but
it was fairly lite for a brown rice and not even close to being as dark as the
spelt
spaghetti I’ve seen.
