parent’s blood type

Sunday, October 19th, 2003

In Dr. D’s interesting fact yesterday he said that the O is a recessive gene
and the way I understood it is that if you have an O parent and an A or B
parent the child would be an A or a B… so I’m wondering how I can be an O
neg. if my mom is an O and my dad an A??
Tabitha,, I made the homemade laundry detergent the other day and it does
work great! hope there aren’t any avoids in the ingredients!,,, the fels
soap is a little perfumey but the final outcome isn’t … thanks much for
that !!!

amalgams

I read that when amalgams are taken out, mercury can be released into the
system. A cheap way to detox the heavy metal (through chelation) is to use
cilantro juice!

Emotional/mental benefits of diet for B’s?

Saturday, October 18th, 2003

OK so I’m also sending this to the O lists since, as I am an O on the B lists
I thought there might also be some B’s on the O list.
I have told you about my emotional/mental results of ER. Now I am wondering
what gives similar results for B’s (ie increased energy, mental alertness,
less crankiness).
DH is B+ as is my new 4 mo dd. Now I know DH kills himself working from 6:30
am to 7:30 pm 6 days a week. We also have 2 young children and an aging MIL
(his mother) to take care of without any help. We have learned to cope and
so most days this is not a big deal. So I am wondering:
DH has come home consistently for months saying he’s tired and is also very
cranky, irritated, and on a short fuse (quite like I was before I discovered
this meat and exercise thing). Do infusions of dairy products help you B’s
with these kind of symptoms? Or lamb? He’s probably only half compliant but
I could get him to eat these things if it would help.
TIA,

emotional/mental benefits of diet

Friday, October 17th, 2003

While I’ve only been on the diet a couple of weeks now I definately notice
that in the morning I am hungry and want breakfast. Previously I wouldn’t
eat before 10am. I am certainly more active, spending very little time just
sitting in front of the tv. Of course, now that I’m making my own bread and
other foods I don’t have as much time to just sit around. I am O+ as well. I
definately feel better on the diet. It is kind of fun go to the grocery
store go up the soap/paper aisle, go through the meat department, skip all
the other aisles and go straight to the health food and produce departments.
The hardest food we struggled with giving up is dairy. Not milk but cheese
and sour cream! I still haven’t been able to give up my one cup of coffee in
the a.m. but have no other caffiene or coffee all day long. It has been very
difficult since our community is so small (15,000) and we live on an island
that is either 1.45 hours by air or 9 hours by ferry away from any other
community. The health food section is about the same size as an average
bathroom. I would say that we are probably 80 - 90% compliant with the diet.

genetically engineered foods?

Thursday, October 16th, 2003

Hi,
Does anyone know Dr. D’s position on genetically engineered foods? Or how to
tell if you’re eating genetically engineered food as opposed to “real” food,
for lack of a better term? Are GE foods harmful, OK, or what in context of
ER? Anybody know?

Grain/corn fed meats?

Wednesday, October 15th, 2003

Hi,
Does anyone know if meats are from grain or corn fed animals if we get the
grains and corn by extension? If so, how much, and what would one do to
avoid this problem? If not, how can you be sure?

Emotional/mental benefits of diet?

Wednesday, October 15th, 2003

Hi,
I am O+ and just wondered if anyone else (of any blood type) has experienced
my results. I have noticed lately, especially now that I have 2 kids and an
aging MIL to see after that (A) I MUST have meat at every meal but ESPECIALLY
for breakfast and (B) I MUST exercise in the morning. If I don’t do these
things, I notice that I can’t think clearly, I’m cranky, and I’m lethargic.
I have also noticed that if I am in a bad mood and I do these things, my bad
mood drops on a dime and the rest of the day is fine.
Anyone else have similar results?
