The Olympics

Friday, October 31st, 2003

I’m an Aussi so I am biased. The reconcilliation thing with the opening
ceremony (the black/white thing) was a master stroke that will change our
culture. There has been a lot of aggressive nonsense going on that just
causes people to entrench in their racial positions, but this ceremony
achieved reconcilliation without kitch or patronage or cowtowing to
political correctness. So I thought it was marvellous. I’d love to hear
what you guys think.
It is interesting for the whole Olympics to have gone so well because we are
a culture that denigrates itself, and we were sure we would mess it up - but
in the final analysis I think we put the rest of the world on notice.
Coming 4th in the medal count is nothing short of miraculous considering our
population size.
So we are all rather proud of ourselves at the moment.

Friday, October 31st, 2003

Hi All, I am sort of a lurker, but have really learned a lot byreadingall of your
posts. I do try to read everyday. I have just foundEzekiel Buns in my grocery
store (we have a wonderful naturalfoodsdepartment in it) I can get everything I
need for the ERYT.Back tothe buns, they are really wonderful, nothing like the
spelt ones. These have good flavor and texture. I hope all can try them.
Ohsomething else. My sister told me about Diet Rite (made by RC) andItried it
tonight. It was pretty good. It is sweetened withsucraloseby Spenda. Does anyone
know if this sweetner is o.k. for us?I will now go back to reading all of your
good advice. Always here,Sharon

Shake n bake

Friday, October 31st, 2003

Before ER I used to make my own shake n bake and the trademark taste (in my
opinion) comes from cornflake crumbs. So… if there is an ER substitute
that has a similar crunch and sweet taste, you could just add some spelt and
salt and garlic and you’d have a similar coating.

Lectins/was eggs

I am thankful to have seen this distinction. We do have to notice those
lectins-they seem to do a lot of damage. My nutritional counselling has
borne out Dr. D’s firm counsel to O’s - - “Leave that Wheat alone!” But
other stuff - seems less critical, and individuals have varied reactions.
This ER4YT is really, for the most part, SO consistent, though, with most
advice I’ve had from other sources. Pretty much Dr. D has done his homework,
it seems!

[ER4YT ] Shake n Bake/also Bread Machine

Wednesday, October 29th, 2003

Hi,
I wanted to know if anyone ever made spelt “shake n bake” chicken in oven?
I’d like to make some for myself when the others have regular “Shake n Bake”.
Forgive if recipe has come out and I missed it.
Also, does anyone make Sprouted bread in bread machine? Have to try my Spelt
recipe if I can find it again. I think it was also for the bread machine!
Except for Ezekiel Bread, bought from Freezer section at Health Food Store,
i’ve quit eating bread. But have lately wanted to make some use of my bread
machine and I have some wheat berries.

[ER4YT ] Was Eggs, Group’s Diversity

<< Hi Mary Ann,
I don’t know if this list as a whole will be able to find peace on
the subject of eggs. :) My opinion may not be a popular one but I
truly believe that it’s wrong for anyone to follow ANY diet verbatim.
We are all Type O’s, but we are all so very different. Some of us
can consume dairy with no problem. Some of us can’t eat red meat.
Some of us can’t tolerate spelt. Some of us gain weight on oatmeal,
some of us don’t. Some of us get energy from walnuts, some of us get
sick. And so on, and so on.
If you do well with eggs, enjoy!! None of us needs anyone’s
permission. Dr. D’Adamo has never claimed to have all the answers.
He says we would all benefit from seeing a nutritionist, using the
ER4YT program as a guideline.

chinese parsley

CB (Cheryl),
Thanks for the note re: Cilantro being called Chinese Parsley. As I was
writing my note, I kept wanting to write that down but could note
personally actually substantiate it.

Not necessarily. If your Dad is AO (or BO) and your Mom is AO (or BO) OR one
parent is AO and one parent is BO you could still be an O if you got an O
from each parent no matter what their blood type is.
I am O and hubby is B. I only have two O genes to give (OO). Hubby’s father
was A and mother was B. Hubby got a B from his mother and an O from his
father (which makes him BO). How do I know? Because one of our daughters is
O and in order for her to be O she has to receive one O gene from each
parent. So it goes like this:
Hubby BO= B blood type
Myself OO= O blood type
Daughter 1 O blood type=OO (one O gene from me and one from hubby)

Eggs, corn, oats

Monday, October 27th, 2003

I am very excited about this news! I love eggs and they seemed like a
logical way to get protein. As we run across these new updates on the
message boards I hope people will post them to the list. I started to go
through some of them and was started to discover that some of the avoids are
on the the list only for people trying to loose weight. I’d like to loose a
few pounds but I’d prefer to start by adjusting to the diet and finding
alternatives for the serious avoids first. The two things that I ran across,
and please tell me if I’m wrong…
Oats are actually either HB or Neutral but should be avoided if you are
trying to loose weight.
Corn is neutral but should be avoided if you are trying to loose weight, or
have a family history of obesity or diabetes.
The biggest problem I still have is finding substitutes for dairy products.
Our only store which has a refridgerated health section sells soy cheddar,
mozzerella and pepper cheese as well as soy and rice milks but nothing else.
