liquid consumption

Saturday, September 27th, 2003

Greetings “O” blood types! I am a fellow “O” and I am wondering why I
drink so much tea (green & oolong), carb drinks including fruit juices
and water every day. I estimate that I drink easily between 1.5-2
gallons of the above per day. At night I go to the washroom once or
twice as you can well imagine, with a couple of gulps of water, juice or
tea to replenish my system afterward. I know that “O” blood types are
supposed to drink more liquid, but there isn’t anyone I know who even
drinks half of that amount. I eat organically and I have recently
switched from a rather heavy red meat diet to a lighter fish diet with
the help of forskohlii(Coleus forskohlii), a traditional Ayurvedic
herb, a truly amazing herb. I do three to four - one hour weight
exercise sessions per week, and I have incorporated a couple of
excellent carb beverages and an egg-whey-soy protein beverage as well
into my regimen. I do not eat chips, sausage or any convenience foods
which have a high salt content, nor do I add salt to any foods. In

Chromium Picholinate

Saturday, September 27th, 2003

My husband and I were recently visiting the “Wellness Apothecary” in
Winnipeg, which sells herbs, vitamins, homeopathic remedies, protein
supplements etc.
Rob, the proprietor and Dave were discussing working out. Rob told Dave
what a difference Chromium Picholinate had made in his muscle
development. I told Dave that I recalled it being listed as an avoid.
I have checked the lists and it is, indeed, listed as an avoid for all
four blood types. There is no reason supplied, but I thought that one
of the readers of these blood type lists might have a clue.
Thanks

Canola Oil and Soy Milk question

Friday, September 26th, 2003

Hi my name is Sandy and I have been receiving your egroups digest for several
months. I have enjoyed all the info very much and the support as I have been on
the diet for 2 years now. I have a question concerning two topics that a lot of
info was posted on. Canola Oil and Soy Milk. I have used these products a
great deal since starting the diet. So my question is has anyone contacted
either Steve Shapiro or Dr. D’Adamo with this info? I was very curious to know
if they know about these reports. I used soy formula with both my boys, one of
the side effects listed in the report was vision problems. Both boys have been
diagnosed with insufficient convergence. Where is smoke there is fire I think.
We have just located oat milk and the boys seem to like it well enough. I can
do Olive oil as well. But I am still curious since Dr. D. posted them both as
neutral for O’s. Thanks to anyone who has info on this subject.

baby bok choy

Friday, September 26th, 2003

<< I’ve been steaming Baby Boy Choy (cut up) in a wok with a little bit
of ginger. It reminds me of a cross between celery and spinach. A
nutritious green (but not necessarily one of my favorites. ;) It’s good with tamari too ! Les

Digest Number 375

Thursday, September 25th, 2003

<< I live with include lack of focus/concentration and
‘brain fog’ where my mind will just go blank or stop,
Steve, is this since the diet or from before ??!! ,,, My mind’s been in a fog
most of my life and I thought it was from being an ACOA… but most of my
diet consisted of the avoids so maybe that was why… now my mind seems
clearer… although I still have a procrastination problem! I think that
hour of walking would be sufficient …I do about 45 min and that seems to be
enough to rejuvinate ! Leslie

Oat milk/O eating pets

My baby kitten goes crazy for broccoli. She will pack a tree off my plate
bigger than her with a leap that would astound superman. She also is crazy
for plums.

What does one do with Swiss Chard?

Wednesday, September 24th, 2003

I know what you mean about Swiss chard, Lynn. I cannot stand the taste of
this stuff too. And sardines, oh please, yuck! I have tried to sneak up on
sardines, but without a lot of whole seed prepared mustard (that is an
avoid) to kill the slimy extremely fishy taste, I just cannot eat them.

CFS

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003

Wonder if CFS is typical for O’s ,, a lot of us seem to have the symptoms. I
had a bunch of reasons why I turned to the ER4YT diet and lack of energy in
the afternoon was a major one. The diet’s helped but I think the biggest
help has been an increase in aerobic exercise… as soon as I get the tired
feeling I exercise and that tiredness goes away.
Oh, Steve, I love the products from Green People,, shampoo/conditioner are
good and the deodorant crystal I love,, what a great concept! trying to get
my husb. to try but he’s resisting… (we get so set in our ways sometimes!).
Thanks for the info on gastrin… and interested to hear where you end
up… I’m betting on Bastyr… keep us posted! Leslie

Laundry soap

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003

I think someone had a recipe for Laundry soap in this group. If someone
remembers what it is or has a copy could you please email it to me. I lost
my info during a crash. Thank you.
The ingredients were things you could find at the grocery store.
Thanks,
Suzanne

cyst

Hi Leslie!
Have you ever used clay to heal? I use it for practically everything and I
am always amazed of its healing properties! A poultice covered with gauze
and left it over night I think will work. You might want to try it a few
nights…Good luck!
