I use a tincture of bladderwrack and it’s 30 to 40 drops in water or tea 3-4 times daily,I don’t use it that much but my thyroid levels have improved since I started taking it.Good luck.
Has anyone without thyroid problems been taking bladderwrack? I’m
waiting on my order from NAP. I had my thyroid tested during my
blood work for a physical and everything was normal. I wanted to hear
from people taking it without thyroid problems since a lot of O’s on
this board do have some sort of hypo- or hyper- thyroidism.
Thanks,
Don (O-)
Yippee! Have just found a Health Shop in Hillcrest that sells
Bladderwrack - they say theirs is in a liquid form (not too pleasant
tasting but easy to swallow with a little juice or water). Now we’re
going to lose some serious weight! Or is that perhaps just hopeful
thinking? I suspect that another key to weight-loss is drinking
plenty of water (anything over 8 glasses).

I have been ill and missed the posts on this . Is bladderwrack to help in
weight loss? What exactly is it?
I found this info on the web Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) has been used
to treat under active thyroid glands and goiter; rheumatism; and rheumatoid
arthritis; bladder irritation and inflammation; and may aid obesity if due to
thyroid imbalance
The info was on harbodynutrition.com My question is what if your thyroid is
not underactive? I haven’t had mine checked yet.
But I”ve been having trouble losing weight.

You are right Kathy - tinctures have little or no ‘fucose’ in them which is
the needed part. Can read more about it in Live Right.

Kathy,
My HFS says Solgar is a good brand and the make the Bladderwack capsules.
Dr. D also mentioned that the tincture wasn’t effective because of the
alcohol used to make it.

Hi!
How much bladderwrack is too much? The bottle says 1-3 per day
(600mg capsules). What is the actual suggested amount? I leant my
book out a month ago and I am still waiting for the return (last time
I loan it out!)
Thanks,
Colleen

I was just wondering if anyone has tried using BLADDERWRACK? If so, which form
(capsule, liquid) and what kind of results? Thanks!
