<< But it is the
terrible fatigue that gets me down. And woe is me if I cheat and eat wheat
or corn. I could sleep for a week after a plate of spaghetti. Oh well. I
just fill up on fish or lean beef and veggies and eat rice when I get the
real carbo craves. I seem to tolerate rice very well and I do like it. Now
that summer is coming to an end, I can expect the low pressure weather
systems to arrive. That is when the pain becomes pretty regular. It is not
the cold, but the low pressure that causes discomfort. However, since the
98′ heat just sucks every bit of energy from me, I am ready for a change.
But come January, I will be looking for spring again. Isn’t it nice that we
do get a change?
Pam,
This is just like me. But i haven’t been diagnosed. Just take a laundry
basket of vitamins and herbs. My Naturopath hasn’t made any conclusion. She
tries to cleanse first. Then, balance the endocrines to improve general
function. Now, i am reallly tired. From cleansing, and healing i think.
Sure would love a great shot in the arm and some mental agility. Have extra
pounds to lose. But just stopping in to telll you a lot of us are walking
together here. Good Luck!

I got last year a machine called Chi Machine which is great to oxygenate the
body (5 min. on it equals 30 min. of aerobic exercise). I thought it would
be good for my mother who had knee surgery (she is 87 yrs. Old) and also has
arthritis. She used to walk with a cane, but after a few days on the machine
(she does 30 min. morning and 30 min. evening) she doesn’t need a cane any
more; she also said she was able to lose 20 lb. and will not miss a day on it
as it is the only exercise she can do. My brothers and sisters (3 of them)
have also tried and got theirs immediately. I use mine for relaxation
purposes mainly; it improves sleep and gives a lymph massage among many other
things!

Thanks Pam,
A recumbent bike is one that the handlebars move when you pedal? I’ve tried
those. Hope soon you’ll be up to types of exercise you feel best with. I
like walks, and weights, expressive dance like jazzercise.

<< The seat is closer to the floor and the
pedals are way out in front at about the same distance from the floor. The
seat adjusts forward or back to match your leg length and the amount of bend
possible for me. To start with, I had the seat well back until I was more
flexible. So in essence you are pushing out and back as opposed to up and
down. It still gives me a workout and uses the leg muscles that are so weak
in my case. But it doesn’t stress or hyperextend my hip or knee joints at
all.
Hello,
That was helpful Pam. I’ve seen those, and tried them. I noticed a lady
reading a couple chapters in her book, while bicycle riding. A feat I’d
never dreamed of…
