Tuesday, September 30th, 2003

Interesting question Lynn! guess my ultimate last meal would be lobster,
mashed sweet potatoes, artichoke, a microbrew! and a huge slice of chocolate
cake (maybe the whole cake!!)
Last ER4YT: Roast Beef, mashed sweet potatoes, carmelized onions, sauteed
leeks!, microbrew, apple pie (w/ a good spelt crust) Leslie

seltzers

Tuesday, September 30th, 2003

<< n the grocery stores around here, there is carbonated water and
something else called “seltzer water”. I think the seltzer water has
quinine in it. I love the carbonated water, but the seltzer water is
very bitter and I don’t like it.
Mary, I was just noticing last night that I have two bottles of Canada Dry,,,
one says Sparkling Water and one says Seltzer… they both have 2
ingredients listed in the same order: Carbonated water, natural flavors….
and taste the same! funny huh? Leslie

Candida Yeast

Subject: RE: [ER4YT-O] Potluck ideas? and Candida Yeast
Reading your post I was thinking the exact same thing, it is no wonder
mistakes are made in diagnosis and why things are so difficult to
diagnose in the first place.
Looking up Candida in the book I have on CFS, it seems to suggest that
the best thing for it is Lactobacillus Acidophillus which can be found
in ‘Live’ yogurt, I know yogurt is an avoid for O’s but this can be
found in non-dairy alternatives and in tablet form. It apparently will
regulate the Candida yeast which is naturally present in the intestine.

Potluck ideas? and Candida Yeast

Sunday, September 28th, 2003

Hello everyone!
Next Friday we are going to a b-day party/potluck dinner. My friends
are following the ER4YT-O diet also, and I’d like to make something
that will be a big hit. I’d prefer not to make anything sweet since
I am battling chronic candida.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated, I would just like to know
that it’s a recipe that’s been tried out.
Is anyone else on this list fighting candida? I have been having
yeast problems for several years. My current Dr. is the first Dr. to
acknowledge that I do have a problem with yeast and basically the
only
thing she’s had me do is follow this diet and take supplements. Most
of the time I don’t take the supplements because they’re huge and
make
me choke.

chromium picolinate

Saturday, September 27th, 2003

I have not had time to read the digest, but I have discovered that the
spelling that I copied from the blood type lists is different than the
spelling on the product (which I do have some of — purchased when I
heard about its benefits to blood sugar balance but which I quit
thinking about taking after reading that it was an avoid). The spelling
‘chromium picolinate’ is the way it its written on the actual container.
As I have said, I have not yet checked to see whether anyone has
responded, but I will do now.
Thanks!
Frances
