Why is pepper an avoid only if you bought pre-ground? I thought it was just an
avoid period.
Thanks.

Interesting dialogue concerning olive oil based soaps and shampoos.
Should one just look for olive oil in the ingredients or is there a
“recommended” brand. I’m looking for shampoo, body soap, and
dishwashing soap.

and the ruby red grapefruit juice w/ added calcium is good !!
Natasha, interesting that a shampoo could affect your stomach!,,, I also use
olive oil on my skin every day! and sometimes use it on my hair to keep down
frizz! wonder if flax oil would be good too… also questioning my
deodorant,,, there’s a deod. on the web site Steve recommended (Green People
Co.) that looked interesting ,, made w/crystals,,, looks like a stone + you
apply it wet. I just ordered their no sodium laureth sulfate shampoo + if
that’s good I’ll go for the deod. !!! Have a good day O’s… Leslie
thanks for the web address Steve… I’ve used just plain olive oil soap at
times as a shampoo … it’s a good in-between option.. also have used
shaklee’s basic H. they both do a great job but are not a good everyday
option tending to dry hair out after too many days in a row using. Leslie
O’s!,, wondering about O healthy shampoos + external body products. a lot
of shampoos have coconut or coconut derived sodium laureth sulfate… and
since that’s an avoid,, what to do? since our pores seem to absorb (ex.
how does that wild yam cream/progesterone cream get to our organs….)
wouldn’t the same theory hold for the ingredients in shampoos etc? Also,
I used to make a body powder with cornstarch, powdered oatmeal and
lavender… I want to try it with arrowroot, are there any other worthwhile
things to add to it? thanks much all,,, you all get the day off to a
great start! Leslie
Hi Tom
Being from South africa know Rooibos as we call it. Rooi is Afrikaans for red
and bos is Afrikaans for bush therefore Red Bush.
I personally don’t like the taste and also know that quite a number of people
react to it. I am told that Rooibos is fairly acidic.
Again if you enjoy it and have no reaction then go ahead and enjoy it.
Many babies in SA drink rooibos tea with no milk and just have sugar to sweeten
it. We have many products containing Rooibos - even creams are made containing
Rooibos.
Rooibos is enjoyed by many here in SA. The taste is far better when you boil
the tea and milk together on the stove for a while. I also add a bit of tea
masala when preparing it the Indian way - only way I tolerate it.
All the best

Hi Tabitha
The reason Ezekiel bread is good for everyone is all of the grains and
legumes are sprouted. Sprouting destroys the harmful lectins in the outer
kernels. The reason sprouted wheat bread is an avoid for O’s is because it
also contains whole wheat flour, in addition to the sprouted wheat flour.
It’s confusing, I know, but we just need to read the labels.
If you want to make your own Ezekiel bread, I’m pretty sure you can use
any wheat, just soak everything until just sprouted (if you let it grow too
much, your bread will be too green, more like a salad) dry on paper towels
and grind into a flour. Kathy H

Hi O’s! Interested to hear anyone’s opinions on that article on disease (2
emails ago)… Dr. D’s rice crispy bars aren’t too bad for a desert option,,
easy to make and taste good ! A neighbor gave us a ton of plums and we made
plum jam w/ them … I’ll send on the recipe if it tastes good! Lynn, too
bad about the 2% rice milk… hope you can find the enriched version. Have
a great day all! Glad you’re back Elize!,,, Leslie (seattle)
