Wild Boar

Sunday, August 31st, 2003

Steve,
I realize you live in the UK, but I thought I would tell you about a
restaurant in Philadelphia that on New Year’s Eve had Wild Boar on it’s menu.
The restaurant is called Ludwig’s Garten. Its specialty is traditional
German & Austrian food. The establishment is a theme restaurant based on
Ludwig II, the last king of Bavaria. The restaurant had a wild game menu
that featured venison, pheasant, wild boar and rabbit. I ate the rabbit
selection for dinner that evening, and it was marvelous.

Along these same lines, would digest members PLEASE choose an

thanks, and sorry about the re: line; basic pork, like pork roast I don’t

thanks again

Pork (was borage oil)

Saturday, August 30th, 2003

Change those subject lines, please.
I think pork is an avoid because most forms of pork I ever knew about are
processed in some way and Dr. D talks about processed meats being no no’s for
everyone if I recall. Just my theory though. I’ve also heard that it’s
incredibly hard to digest.

Nut butters

Friday, August 29th, 2003

Nut butter is really easy to make on your own if you have a food processor.
Let me know and I’ll post if anyone’s interested.

PS Please change subject lines when you change subjects. The original
subject line to the message I am replying said “laundry sheets and disks”
which was not the content of the message at all.

BORAGE OIL

The reasons list shows it is an allergen, as Gina said a judgement call
(if it doesn’t affect)

Digest Number 356

Thursday, August 28th, 2003

Dear Elize, I see that someone else has posted on the rice milk issue. I
haven’t used rice milk as the only ones available in my area have an avoid oil
in them. I use Soy dream original for substituting for milk in recipes,
although I know it doesn’t set up in puddings as milk would.
My two years have made me feel much better, although I must stick close to the
diet for good digestion. I have become adept at changing recipes to fit our
lifestyle. Anything in particular that you are interested in?
Thanks for the note, Sandra

Natasha, do you get enough calcium from your broccoli alone or do you take
any supplements too? Leslie

laundry sheets, disks

Wednesday, August 27th, 2003

all this talk about laundry, etc. has been great, and I have saved my
messages to check into these items later. In the meantime, has anybody
heard anything about, tried the laundry disks. What about alternatives
to fragrance free bounce? Has anybody anything to note in regard to the
cling free sheets for dryers?
Thanks for all your help,
Fran

Liver Cleanse, GB question

Thanks Natasha
Your feedback is valuable - I was also concerened about the Epsom salts as do
find that when I used it in the past I feel very letathargic for a day or two
afterwards.
I guess I will stick to the O programme.
Best wishes
Elize
