English Dinner
I was invited to a dinner party Sunday night. A friend on holiday
from England was going to treat us with a native dish. Well, of
course
everything he prepared was an avoid (potatoes, corn, sausage, etc.).
What did I do? Sat right down and enjoyed a fine meal with good
friends. Very delicious!
The next day I was a little off, you know, sluggish, not feeling
quite energitic, that sort of thing. To counter that, I ate mostly HB
foods, with a few neutrals thrown in, and very low carbs (also went
horseback riding that evening, not a HB O exercise but very
enjoyable). The result? Today I feel pretty good again - high energy.
I was talking about this issue with a friend from work last week
(he’s an O) and he commented that as you rid your body of toxins, by
avoiding foods that place them there, you get internally cleansed.
The result of that cleansing is that your body can handle avoid
foods, occasionally, with little or no side effects.
Personally, if a food is listed as an avoid, I’m going to do just
that (why I threw away my bottle of aloe). However, I will always run
into situations like I did at the English dinner. So, I prepare for
those situations by eating right and exercising. I recover from those
situations in the same manner.

I know what you mean, Gary. I think you might be right. I’m far from that
point though. But my children (2 are O’s) - eat everything, no tummyache.
Though my 14 year old O does actualy feel a let down with bread now. It’s
noticeable, and she understands. Cute short side note: The same 14 yr old
and I watched as my type O three year old deftly peeled away the bun on her
hamburger and innocently stood eating the beef patty. She knows nothing
about the blood type foods, she just does it naturally. I did mention
children because their younger more pure systems, handle more foods. It’s
only after an onslaught for many years of avoids that we are forced to “go
back” to our blood type eating. But I see how kids seem be “clean enough” to
handle some avoids.
But for now I’ll keep avoiding. Gotta feel better! Then, when time seems
okay, I’ll have my “English Dinner” too! And as I gain common sense, I know
how to make up for mistakes, or avoids, that I have had.
Take Care,
Mam in Fla.

Dear Gary
Thanks for the comments - I have discovered that I can do the same by eating
wrong about once a week with not too much discomfort. Having been in the UK,
Bulgaria, Holland and then to Alaska - 5 weeks of different eating was far too
much and next time will just have to eat my way regarless of what people think
of my strange way of eating.
The detow that I just got over was severe - awful to experience and never want
to go through it so badly again. Because I am very slim and tiny for my age
people always say ‘” you just eat that way because you want to remain so slim -
and for some reason they would not accept that for me it is about feeling
healthy and that it has become a way of life. ” I therefore ate what was
prepared for me as I did not want to offend my host thinking me to be rude - In
the African culture it is very unkind to turn any food down that is presented to
you - so LOL next time round will inform my hosts prior to my visit. Here in
South Africa I usually take my own food along when invited to meals by family or
friends.
For now will still have to sit with the Aloe bottle for the next month.
Best wishes
Elize
