Cliff’s free holistic health papers —O Week of

Wednesday, June 25th, 2003

Hi,
I’m a PhD holistic health facilitator re-offering free 3 to 6-
page papers (2 a week) on various health topics, usually contrasting
the orthodox allopathic medical approach and alternative healing
approaches.
Email me at kosmik@… from your own email address
(not this BB, which I do not read, being a B+) and TELL ME WHAT
PAPERS YOU WANT (please do not ask to be put on a list to receive
future papers). Please print off papers of interest to you, because I
am too busy to send re-sends.
This week’s offering: Paper 19D, Small and large
intestines; Paper 20D, Dysbiosis, allergies, environmental
sensitivities. [To save my time both papers are sent because most
requesters want both]

Hi Gina,
We must save Gary’s post to motivate us to do exercise. I hope we can just
do it!

vigorous exercise

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

Hi,
I read the posts about exercise, and I wanted to ask for advice or just
your insights.
Since my early twenties, I’ve had so many serious health problems, that
when I try to do aerobics or any vigorous workouts, I get so exhausted, I
can’t function at all for a few days. And sometimes I can actually get ill
if the workout is too intense or draining of my energy. I do a lot of
walking (at least 6 days a week), but that’s as much intensity as I can
handle. I walk for about 30 minutes, and we have hills all around our
neighborhood, so that helps to get my heart rate up. It’s not that I have a
weight problem. I’m 5′3″, and weigh about 120.
Have any other O’s had this problem? When I read the part in the book
that says we are made for vigorous exercise, I just laughed. My husband is a
type A, (and they’re supposed to do gentle movements, like yoga), and he has
always done intense workouts. He was a runner, a weightlifter, and now he

Reminder/Gina, hang in there

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

Hi Gina,
I don’t know. But someone who walks with you, and eats like you do is fun.
I’d imagine. I am a little lonely doing this stuff. I made up my mind tho.
I go to nutrition club meetings. Swim with friends 1 hour twice a week. If
i get walking with friends, or exercise gym the other nights, the dream is
real-which is spend time with people who you’d like to be like. (concerned
with health, look and feel great). Thus far, my association was with
adorable good-looking people with real bad habits and no concern or interest
that i follow ER or the Ice Cream Truck! I promised to spend 1 hour a day
with professional/or aggressive health buffs, pursuing this path like me.
It’s coming. Hopefully get out of this lonely spot. The ER board is
tremendously helpful, to give Community feeling about the BIG changes i am
asking myself to make.
Gotta thank everyone. Even our “token males”. :) Who keep toilets fixed
and humor going strong. Humor is a real basic health tool.

Reminder

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003

Hi Everyone,
I’ve just caught up on all the messages over the past several days. A
lot of good dietary advice. I just wanted to remind everyone that a
requirement for type O’s is vigorous exercise 2-3 times per week. I
recommend weight training and aerobics. We need to sweat and build
muscle. If we look to our diet alone, to give us energy and health,
we are fooling ourselves.

Essene bread

Monday, June 23rd, 2003

Hi Everyone,
I’m very thankful for all your comments and suggestions. It really does
help a lot when the going gets tough! It’s nice to know there are many
others out there who are doing their best to follow the regimen.
Has anyone found a source for Essene bread? I used to buy it all the
time, but our health food store says it is discontinued. I did a search on
the net, and only found Essene bread recipes. At this time in my life, I
have no time to make my own. Thanks, Melissa

Intestinal disorders - blame it on glutens?

Monday, June 23rd, 2003

Dear Lyn
Detox can really be uncomfortable and yes I have had similar experiences - still
better for your Dr to check it out.
I find sipping ginger tea made from grated ginger steeped in boiling water helps
a lot for the nausea and digestion.
I use Herbal Fiberblend imported to South Africa from the USA and find it very
helpful to keep my colon clean - it does contain Alfalfa something we as O’s are
not supposed to be using. Butyrate is not available here in SA.
Having a colonic irrigation once a year has been very helful to me as at the end
of the day we need to get the colon to do it’s own work.
I add flaxseed, sesame and sunflower seeds to my muesli and find it a great
help.
It is also important for you to find out what your problem foods are as each of
our bodies react differently.
I react to the juice that you referd to and it did cause me severe bloatedness -

Ezekiel Bread/Bagels

Sunday, June 22nd, 2003

Mmmmm…bagels! :) Holly, it seems to me you can take any bagel recipe (I have one in my
handy-dandy Better Homes & Gardens cook book) and instead of using
all purpose flour, use spelt flour. If you want to make rye bagels,
use half rye flour, half spelt. Or use any other flour you like.
I saw a PBS-type program the other day about making bagels and
basically all you do after mixing the dough and creating bagel shapes
is broil, boil and bake. Let me know if you need the recipe for
basic bagels and I’ll send it to you. You might already have one in
your collection of cook books.
Or, does anyone on this list have a good recipe?

Wow if it comes under any other name or on the shelf, i’d love to be muscle
tested for that. But buying the book and waiting for the product, and not
knowing for sure if i need it or not…..I already suspect a hormone
adjustment might be in order….PMS all the time you know…..OH, not ME,
it’s this FRIEND of mine ;}
I am so backlogged with books and [even email]. Just slow reader i guess.
