Reminder

Hi Everyone,
I’ve just caught up on all the messages over the past several days. A
lot of good dietary advice. I just wanted to remind everyone that a
requirement for type O’s is vigorous exercise 2-3 times per week. I
recommend weight training and aerobics. We need to sweat and build
muscle. If we look to our diet alone, to give us energy and health,
we are fooling ourselves.

    Dear Gary
Thanks for the reminder - I do weight training 4 times a week and also do Tai
    Chi once a week.
Am 160cm talls and weigh 43 kilograms - I eat by combining my food breakfast is
usually a fruit liquidised together with a third of a cup of ground almonds or
walnuts and a teaspoon of honey, lunch a salad with a dressing of olive oil,
honey and lemon juice plus about a spoon ful of sesame seeds, sunflower seed and
flax sees called linseed in South africa. Supper will consist of vegetables and
a starch - I mainly eat vegetarian with Tuna once a week - only introduced the
Tuna about a month ago after having been vegetarin for many years.
    The above works for me.
    Good luck and best wishes

I’m sorry if I sound like a grump, but is there some way I can not
receive attachments sent from this list? I’ve spent the past two
hours trying to straighten out my computer that literally choked on
all the dozens of “untitled” attachments sent to the list. They
jammed up my mail program and I think I’ve lost some of my incoming
mail because of them. I’ve run Norton Utilities to try and fix the
mess, but I sure don’t want this to happen again. What can I do?
    Thanks,
    Lynn

Normally I would just let this drop, but the “get a life guys”
    comment is really insulting.
I’m sorry, but you cannot assume that everyone has the same type of
computer that you do, or uses the same software that you do, etc.
It’s not that your information wasn’t appreciated, because it was.
It’s that you included over 100 graphics with all of your posts,
which were all sent at the same time. It was a lengthy download, one
    that certainly wasn’t expected. I *was* expecting a work-related
file but had to wait for all those graphics files to finish
downloading. There were so many, they choked my e-mail program and
froze my computer, causing me to lose a file I was working on.
Certain e-mail programs handle HTML graphics better than others. I
have to use the program I do because of my job. Get a life? What a
considerate thing to say. (And no, I wasn’t having a grumpy day. I
*do* have a life, which is why this was a big problem for me.)

I’ve been on lots of mailing lists but I’ve never been on one where a
dozen Web pages were sent to the list all at once. In fact, the
other lists I’ve been on are plain text only and do not allow
attachments because there is no way of knowing what type of
hardware/software all of the end-users have.
I have made a change to my settings so that this won’t happen (to me) again.

    <SNIP…
I am not trying to start a flame war but IMHO I have to agree. Whilst
the information WAS appreciated could it not have been sent in plain
text or as someone suggested as a URL. Not everybody enjoys free
internet connections or has fast connection speeds and the download of
so many graphics becomes costly. It could be a reason for somebody to
unsubscribe from the list or set their email program up to delete those
messages from that person. The “get a life guys” SEEMS to suggest a
total lack of consideration for the situation others. Please don’t stop
sending the information but have a little more thought as to how you
    send it :¬)
    <SNIP…
The same here, we don’t all have the same software and hardware so the
lowest common denominator is used i.e. messages in plain/text only.
That not so suggest that this list should do the same but some info on

how other list attempt to make life easier for all.

I think that’s a great idea. It would make everyone a lot happier if just
the URL’s were included in the message. Since some may have no interest in
essene bread (me, for example), they could elect not to visit the website
and not have their computers bogged down.
BTW, Steve, what does IMHO stand for?

  7. Micheal Lopez Says:

everything is sent in plain text. your settings have to be on plain also to
    receive them that way.
    robin
    That’s interesting. Thanks, I didn’t know that.

    AAARGH!
My conscience has caught up with me (in the form of Gary)!!!
I used to do vigorous yoga (astanga) 3x week, but have been through some
lifestyle changes lately and haven’t even been out walking.
That little bit of the book that says “What is the most difficult part to
implement” in the survey section? For me it’s not the wheat or caffeine -
    it’s the E word.
I’ll keep everyone updated on this one…..but the good news is I really
can’t get less exercise than at present (short of taking to my bed and
    staying there)!
