Ezekiel Bread/Bagels
Mmmmm…bagels!
Holly, it seems to me you can take any bagel recipe (I have one in my
handy-dandy Better Homes & Gardens cook book) and instead of using
all purpose flour, use spelt flour. If you want to make rye bagels,
use half rye flour, half spelt. Or use any other flour you like.
I saw a PBS-type program the other day about making bagels and
basically all you do after mixing the dough and creating bagel shapes
is broil, boil and bake. Let me know if you need the recipe for
basic bagels and I’ll send it to you. You might already have one in
your collection of cook books.
Or, does anyone on this list have a good recipe?

They are okay, since Ezekiel bread is listed as highly beneficial.
The operative word is “sprouted.”

Holly, Lynn Heidi to all of you
Thanks about the comments on the Ezekiel bread - was great being able to have
some bread whilst in Alaska - it is not available here in South Africa at all -
will contact the distributors to see about bringing it to SA as well. Spelt
flour is also not available here so would need to use rye flour as an
alternative.
Thanks to all and best wishes.
