Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I haven’t tried any of the supplements yet, still trying to go the food
route, but I, too, would love to hear anyone else’s experience with the
supplements.
About eating red meat-I’ll tell you my story. When I was 19, I became a
serious vegetarian, and refused meat for about five years. I had so
convinced myself that it was poison (from all the vegetarian books I had
read), that I vowed I would never eat it. That was about the worst time in
my life for my health. I was so spaced out all the time, and had no strength
or energy or endurance. And that’s when my thyroid problems started.
Eventually, I began to eat a little chicken and fish, but never red meat. I
still didn’t feel very well, and developed more health problems. Finally,
now in my forties, I am eating red meat. And now that I’m on ER4YT, I’m
finally able to relax and know it’s the best for me. Every time I eat roast
beef, I feel the very best. I found a source for Bison, and I can’t wait to
try it!
There’s a lot of pressure out there from many nutrition “experts” that
give red meat a bad rap. I’m sure that the more you go along, the more
you’ll be able to accept it. Mainly because you’ll feel so much better!
And, I also got some “Mega-Zyme” from Enzymatic Therapy to take for a while.
(Dr. D’Adamo reommends it for when you first start incorporating red meat).
I notice that I don’t do as well with ground beef.
My blood sugar feels stable most of the time now, and I don’t have the
cravings for pretzels and chips like before. Maybe because of the extra
meat? I’m not sure, but I’m going to keep it up.
Best of luck to you!
Melissa
