		<description>Dear Pam
I became vegetarian about 10 years ago as I was then advised by my homeopath
(treats me for ME) not to eat any meat due to the hormones given to animals,
especially chicken - that is here in SA. I never liked fish and therefore don't
eat any meat or fish. Have a lot of nuts to make up for the proteins etc.
Is it OK to have bread and cheese during the same meal or are we supposed to be
strict with our combination of foods ie no starch and protein at the same meal?
Thanks and best wishes

		<description>hi louise
he can't eat any meat including eggs. milk ,ect.
i haven't read his books yet i just say a small article in parents mag.
or was it vegi times.
i kind of wait for books to get to the used book store or the university
resale book store to keep down on costs. those places are also great
sources for old nutritional books which have charts of the nutritional
values and stuff in them. re

<description>I know Dr. D'Adamo recommends coleus forskhillin for Type O's who don't want
or can't eat meat. It is available on his website, www.dadamo.com. Also, if
your son is Type O, gradually cut out the foods he should avoid, and see what
happens.

		<description>hi pam
that is a good thought, and actually once at an organic restaurant in
our town they accidently gave him a dish with (i forget if it was
chic.or beef) in it. we knew in a few min. something was wrong cause he
started turning red. we scraped through his casadea (bad spelling) and
there were the little scraps of meat.
it really sucks watching everything. my husband let him get a gummy bear
not to long ago and although it only redded him up and a couple of rashy
spots i yelled for 2 hours! boy it was awfull. and i hate always being
on guard. it would be different if it was just a thing about killing and
not a health risk. (we don't have insurance!)
we do feed him endless amounts of soy protien, i signed up with this
group to see ifthere were any other was to supplement his diet. guess
i'll have to buy the book!
