I used to get candida quite a bit, as well as other yeast/fungus problems,
like in my toenails, and even on my hands and arms. Gee, this is my second
really gross post this week. I'm on a roll!
Since I have been following the ER4YT plan, I never have candida. I think
there are a few reasons for this.
One, the diet itself brings the body chemistry into a healthy balance, and my
body no longer creates an environment that is conducive to yeast or any other
cooties (like virus, bacteria, etc.). I just don't get sick anymore, and my
chronic problems including this one went away.
Two, I do not know if you are at a desirable weight for your height, sex and
age. For me, I was always 30 pounds overweight. I had an active job, where I
was on my feet running around constantly, and thus sweating heavily all day.
I wore pants every day and that probably made it worse as well. I think it
really made a difference to lose the weight, and wear more loose-fitting
clothes. Are you overweight? Is it possible to wear something like a skirt or
<!--more-->
dress? (DON'T wear hose if you are prone to a yeast infection. Just go
bare-legged, or wear boots if it's cold.)

Hi Andrea,
Just wanted to let you know that I cleared my candida using a
combination of O Diet, Body Ecology Diet, and the Yeast Connection
ideas. I used supplements and the protocal found at
www.modernherbalist.com. I stumbled across this web site while
searching for candida info, and it turned out to work really well for
me and the doctor who runs it is generous w/ his time and quite
helpful. I also used Noni juice along w/ the modern herbalist
supplements which for me was the key to clearing it. Good luck to
you! As Peter says, it's much easier for O's to rid themselves of
Candida than other bloodtypes, so hang in there and I know you'll be
successful.
Peace,
Lisa
P.S. The Body Ecology web site now sells products and there is a new
<!--more-->
edition of "The Body Ecology" out.

Hi Susan,
Thanks for the info. As I wrote to Courtney, I could always stand to
lose a few pounds, however, that is not the reason I chose to try
Er4YT. It's just a way of life for me. I know I need to do the
exercise also because with my condition especially, if I don't I feel
terrible. I get terrible muscle aches (like fibromyalgia) just
another one of my symptoms. I also have a lot of digestive problems
(leaky gut syndrome) so I have to watch eating certain foods. This
plan just seems to fit in with that pretty much, although sometimes I
have trouble digesting meat, so I tend to eat more fish. Is that a
problem on this diet? Also, how far away from meals do you have to
drink water, and what about taking supplements with your food? Is a
little water okay?
Thanks again,
Andrea

Hello everyone-
I am also new to the group, and I am getting ready to start the diet
and also have candida. I have been battling for almost 4 years, have
done various diets, but after reading this book, I realized I have on
occasion eaten this way and feel much better, so it seems like a good
fit. I am also very excited and would also like to know if there is
anything special I should do. Compared to many diets I've been on,
this actually seems very easy - there aren't strick guidelines as to
how much to eat, when and with what - am I right? AT any rate, I'm
looking forward to it. I hope to sit down soon and read through the
postings to get more info, but anything additional would be helpful.
Thanks!

has anyone had any success controlling candida with this diet?
Courtney (and Mike),
Base purely on my experience, there are other more scientific types here,
once you quit eating wheat and all the products that contain corn syrup, your
candida will just go away. As will all kinds of nasty discharges from
various orifices. I will bet that depending on the amount of avoids that
were in your diet, you will see a huge difference in a week or so. Welcome
to a healthy way of eating!

I am in the last stages of getting rid of all my amalgam fillings and I am
going to start with DMSA. The pain in my hand joints might be caused by
mercury poisoning. While reading about mercury poisoning I found that CFS and
Candida could also be the effects of mercury poisoning. Leslie, Steve,
Tracie, and others, have you had a hair analysis done to discard this
possibility? The web site related to this drcranton.com
