Yes, it would be great to know his reasoning so we can apply it
ourselves. there are so many herbs I have questions about which are not
listed, and if I just knew his principal properties, it would make life

There used to be a list that contained the reasons for most of the
avoids. It varies from upsetting the acid/base balance of the
stomach, to interfering with thyroid production to blocking insulin
production…to the lectin problem. I think we just have to trust
Dr. D. and test the things on ourselves a little to see if they
bother us. All avoids don’t bother everyone. I can tolerate some
cinnamon….That’s what I do anyway.
