Mary Ann

Wednesday, April 30th, 2003

Yes, Mary Ann, maybe if I weren’t so worried about get pregnant, then I
would be very happy with the diet. Although there is still the issue of
calcium. But I feel great while I am eating my beef with my vegs.
Although I have had to up my vegs to counteract the candida. But anyway,
within time I guess. And I would hope the time would come soon. I spent
all day on this pc today searching, reading, typing, instead of doing my
house chores. Pam.

Soy

Wednesday, April 30th, 2003

Yes, I have started making soy shakes, with today being my 2nd day. And
I can tell you, my body is not right with it. Also, I have added
nutritional yeast, so it could be the soy, the yeast, or both. Plus, I
am using tofu and also soy protein powder. So it could be either or
both. I do notice that the soy protein affects me more negatively than
the tofu.
And then I read that beef interferes with absorption of calcium? That is
one good reason to have soy - protein and calcium. What is a person to
do????? Pam and going crazy!!!!

Hi Pam,
I hope we are not to be depressed for long. You are like me, almost frozen,
as to what to do. I am all ready to relate to blood typing and then have to
ask “Is my hypothyroidism (and possibly an adrenal sluggishness) going to
throw me into some unique category where Nothing that applies to regular
people will work for Me”. It’s all so complicated.
I relate to re jn’s feeling that there aren’t enough concerned people. I
don’t want to be the only one who worries. I am stuck with the job. I
really need to get healthy and speed up, and so operate at the level of my
thinking and caring in spite of inactivity or unawareness of others.
I love the diet. When i avoid, then indulge-i feel the difference. Where
before er4yt, i just felt generally lousy. I can feel that i am on the right
track. I am so thankful for the lady who wrote that she felt certain
emotions when eating wheat-exactly like me. So i know i am not making up my
“crazy” suspicions.

Just curious here and not to change you to meat, but I wonder if it is
the hormones given to the animals that is causing his problems. I wonder
if he tried range fed beef if it would be different. Pam

Soy Protein

Monday, April 28th, 2003

Does anyone here use just the soy protein powder?
How much do you use? I am experimenting with the powder and tofu in
making shakes, and want to get my protein allottment. Pam.

Doreen

Monday, April 28th, 2003

If you don’t mind me asking, Doreen, how old are you? It was the
firbroids and menopause that caught my attention.
I am using the diet to overcome infertility. Within the first month, my
pms had subsided. BUT no pregnancy yet and this will be my 3rd month.
BUT I also checked out D’Adamo’s reason web sight and found my magnesium
pills had corn in them. So I have gone through and eliminated all of the
additive foods and I will see what happens. I am also taking herbs and
trying to stick with the HB ones, but it sure is hard in this aspect. I
can eat HB and stay away from the avoid food and herbs, but when it comes
to giving my body that extra edge, it is hard to stay away from the
neutral herbs. Pam.
