Maria,

I can relate, Jeannie. We just spent a week in California meeting my
husband’s ship in San Diego and spending time in LA with all of our children.
I have just let the diet go until after the holiidays. My stomach has really
paid for it and I’m sure my body will be happy when I’m back on track.

A touch of fresh ginger adds an interesting flavor.”

Today while I’m recuperating from periodontal surgery, I think I’ll focus on
my home. Reminds me how important one’s immediate environment is on one’s
mental state.
Lately — ever since the diarrhea, interestingly enough — I’ve been on this
kick to get rid of all the old stuff I’ve been collecting for years and
years. For years I’ve been saving this and that because, well, you know,
some day I might need/use that thing. Since I am a creative person who has
done embroidery, knitting, sewing, and fine art painting in oils, watercolor
and acrylic, not to mention being a writer, you can just imagine what I
could have accumulated.
I used to belong to a spiritual group which used to have us clear out the
house every 6 months. We were supposed to get rid of anything we hadn’t
used in the past 1/2 year, including any pictures ont he wall that we hadn’t
looked at. Part of their idea about life was that each human had a certain
amount of “stuff” he or she felt comfortable with and that you would gather

I am new to this site and would like to ask a question or two.
Is there a test to find out if you have any parasites in you intestinal
tract? If so what is the name of the test and where can one go for these
tests?
Is there a test for your vitamin and minerals in your system? Again, what is
the name of the test and where can I go to have this done?
Thank you and Happy Holidays to all.

What’s the scoop on consuming this food product ‘raw?’ Did he perform any
tests to determine if it’s still a ‘no-no’ for us regarding this aspect
of it? Oh, I searched through the archives and found nothing on this.
H everybody
I’ve had a hard time getting the ER4YTY-O list to work again on my ‘puter
since I got back from my Thanksgiving jaunt. Haven’t been any postings.
Hope it’s my setup.
I wrote to the list about the fact that after two and a half months on the O
diet I got diarrhea which just won’t quit. Tests show no pathogens or
parasites. I am scheduled to see a gastroenterologist. Meanwhile, last
weekend I decided to try switching from vegetables, meat and a little fish
to vegetables, fish and a little meat. The diarrhea stopped.
I am on the lookout for interesting recipes. The original for this
rutabaga-parsnip au gratin came from Prevention’s “Cooking for Good Health.”
I substituted O friendly ingredients. It was quite yummy and even better
the second night warmed up.

Fellow list members,
Here is a short article I just wrote that I thought may be of some small benefit
and interest. Dr Maher .
Cancer Preventing Super Foods
Although currently heart disease kills most of us, it seems in general we dread
cancer more. It is even sometimes called , The Big C, and code worded by
doctors as CA, apparently because we dont even like to say or hear the word!
Interestingly, after of billions of dollars in research it appears that the
quotes below, credited to two famous men, were truly prophetic.
Let your food be your medicine- Hippocrates
The doctor of the future.will interest his patients in diet, care of the human
frame, and in the prevention of disease. Thomas Edison
In 1992, a scientist named Caragay developed a hierarchy of potential cancer
preventative foods. The National Cancer institute is currently investigating
these foods, specifically those at the top of the pyramid*, to further clarify

Hi!
Thank you Jim, Pam & Rochell for answering my call. I would really like to
help, if I can, I have in a way, more problems than you have understanding
the book, since mine is translated to Hebrew and there are all kind of
products that we dont have and on the other hand things we do have that are
not mentioned. Well I do my best. I dont have major health problems so I
prefer to prevent them. Some of the tips you gave I already apply.
Thanks again
Sari from Israel
