lectins and etc.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<You know….I don’t understand why onions are highly beneficial and
yet they do have lectins. We, blood type 0’s, should avoid lectins and yet, we
can eat onions. Anybody care to explain that?
Many foods have lectins in them. But lectins come in the good variety and the
bad variety. Goods ones for type O are not the same as good ones for type A and
so on. It’s the same for bad lectins, or avoids with damaging lectins in them.
Lectins act by agglutinating your blood. Or clotting it….. It isn’t just your
blood that can be affected. Certain tissues of your body are also damaged by
lectins, such as the lining of the intestine, kidney cells, pancreas, nerve
cells and immune system cells.
They don’t just attack, they can also enhance your immune system, depending on
the bug you’ve got. Some good lectins are cancer inhibiting agents. That’s why
it’s so important to get your type right. Best chances of giving your body what
it needs to maintain good health. The literature review link at the dadamo site
gives a very comprehensive review of lectins.
Dr. D discusses lectins in the chapters of his book. He also discusses the
other aspects of the dietary avoids that he recommends for reasons other than
lectins. It’s covered but not in any great detail. Enough to comprehend the
issues. You can get access to the lists of foods based on reasons for
avoids/beneficials at
a link that is provided at the www.dadamo.com site. It’s the one labeled
Steve’s ER4YT. He has a rather comprehensive list of foods with details of
reasons that each food is an avoid, and some reasons why other foods are
beneficial. And why some are in-between, like Oats.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<He (?) came up with the farmer’s soda of seltzer and
cream.
What is that? I like seltzer, it’s a regular in my pantry, but with cream?
Goat’s milk variety?
<<<<<<<<<I also read what he does with people who are extremely resistant to
losing
weight — they have alternating meals of macadamia nuts and cream cheese.
That is really bizarre. Must be fooling the body somehow. What kind of cream
cheese? How does it work?
<<<<<<<<<I was surprised to find a lot of talk about coconut stuff since D’Adamo
knocks it pretty hard for O’s on pages 70-71 of ERFYT.
I only have the cook book now, If you don’t mind summarizing, how does he
portray the dangers of coconut? (gotta quit loaning the other one out!!)

We have lectins in our own blood so avoiding them is impossible. Just SOME
lectins.
