Digest Number 67

Tuesday, January 14th, 2003

Hello there,
This is my first post to this board, so I sure hope it posts. I usually go
to the ER4YT message board @ www.dadamo.com.
I wanted to tell Lee to go to the web site above to read all the success
stories of persons following the O type diet. I for one have had Psoriasis
for 15 years and by eating right for several month my skin has never been
clearer even with drugs. Best regards to all of you.
Take care,
Ang (O+)

Digest Number 65

This is a reply to the message telling us that fluoride can slow down your
thyroid. So can HRT….the estrogen part anyway. So can Vitamin C in large
doses. I forgot that last week and put myself through a real spin.
Pam, I am an O too, 55 years old, overweight. I just started the diet 2 1/2
weeks ago. I’m at the point where if/when I slip, I REALLY feel it. Forgot
and had a half cookie. Wheat! Felt the result for 3 days. It’s
educational. I’ll watch out for wheat now. I agree with you that the
exercise makes the biggest difference. I already was swimming which was
making me feel awful afterward but was strengthening muscles. Discovered my
body much rather I do exercise that makes me all hot and sweaty. It must
clear out the lymph and make the much overloaded spleen happier. Just got a
biycle. Riding that is great for getting hot and sweaty. After a while, I
want to take a dancing class. Maybe folk dancing in the dead of winter…
or ballroom dancing.

Hi,
My name is Pam and I am a type O, and I am 55. I subscribe to the ER4YT-O
list as well as the Sears/Dadamo list. From what I have read, it seems that
the O’s have the most difficulty loosing weight, often have arthritis, and
CFS/FMS. I sure quality on all three of these points. I have had moderately
severe fibromyalgia for at least 6 years, and probably much longer. I was
eating a no fat no meat high carbohydrate diet for almost a year, which
resulted in a good weight loss….UNTIL. My metabolism slowed to a virtual
halt, my fibromyalgia symptoms escalated until I had no choice but to seek
medical help. And guess what, there is none to speak of. I had a bilateral
hip replacement three years ago. My knees are bad, as well as my neck and
back. I find myself VERY carbohydrate sensitive, with pretty severe cravings
unless I virtually eliminate most of my carbohydrates. I cannot but wonder
if my “good intentioned” diet exacerbated my health issues? I am doing my
best to eliminate the “avoid” foods totally and concentrating on the protein.

anasazi beans

Sunday, January 12th, 2003

I’m O-. I am wondering what anasazi beans are for our blood-type. B? NB?
N? NA? A? Anasazi beans were not listed on any of the web sites’ food
lists. It is not in CR4YT either.
Even if you haven’t read anything for certain about anasazi beans,
please tell me about your personal experiences with them.

Hi from New Member

Hi, I am sort of new to all this and just joined this list today. My name
is Aikya. It rhymes with “Like ya.”
For years I have been struggling with one health matter after another. A
range of digestive and respiratory symptoms occurred over time that sapped
my energy, made me depressed, resulted in weight gain and difficulty losing
that weight. I tried macrobiotics but that quit working well when I moved
to a hot climate. I tried ayurveda. Then my doctor moved out of state and I
couldn’t consult with him any more.
All my life I’ve had blood that was slow to clot. I had become convinced
that I was hypothyroid. I fixed it by eating lots of seaweed when I
followed the macrobiotic diet. Blood tests never show the problem. Drives
me crazy.
Recently, I had been getting more and more worried. I could barely get
through my work day, never mind do any of the creative things I love due to
fatigue. I was 50 or 60 pounds overwieght. I woke up every morning with

Digest Number 61

Saturday, January 11th, 2003

I’m Rochelle and I’m an O+. I have been taking synthroid for years and
recently had to have the dosage increased. I think I am starting to see
differences in the way I feel. I’ve had more energy the past couple of days
than I have in some time. Of course I’m getting really acquainted to the
health food store. The label reading part isn’t a problem. I’ve been reading
labels for years!
