Coleus Forskolii
I have a question, if anyone might have an answer. In his book CR4YT, Dr.
D’Adamo mentions the herb Coleus forskolii for O’s who may object to eating
red meat. I myself am not too keen on the idea. He says that it can give us
some of the benefits of red meat. Okay, so I bought some. It’s in a liquid
form and calls for 30 to 40 drops in a small amount of warm water. I have
started to do this. Has anyone else taken the herb and can it be taken in
juice? The taste is really vile. The lady at the health food store didn’t
know, in fact she didn’t know that they had it on the shelf! I would
appreciate any feedback.

Rochelle-
I have been using Enzymatic Therapy’s Coleus Forskohlii Extract in
capsule form—so you really don’t have to put up with that horrible taste.
Good Luck!!

Thanks De,
I hope I can find the capsule form…I can live with capsules. I was
beginning to wonder if anyone was going to answer my question.

Hi O’s
I am visitor to your list here - I am a Type B and subscribe to that list,
but have a question for a friend of mine who is an O. Even though my friend
knows that her body needs meat, she can’t bring herself to eat it. She’s
been a vegetarian for quite a few years.
In the ER4YT Cookbook, D’Adamo talks about this herb:
“…little know ayuvedic herb, Coleus forskolii. Coleus has been shown to
enhance energy levels in Type Os. In many respects, its effects on celluar
storage are similar to the effects of red meat. Coleus may be a solution for
Type Os who have a philosophical problem with eating red meat.”
We are in New Zealand and she is having trouble locating this herb. She’s
been to two of our ayuvedic health food shops and they can’t find a listing
in their ‘herb dictionary’ for this particular one.
Anyone know the trick to finding it??
I’d appreciate any help.

Hi Lisa,
Ask your friend to try www.4yourtype.com. It is the site of North American
Pharmacal. Dr. D’Adamo’s wife Martha is it’s president. This site is an
adjunct to Dr. D’Adamo’s site, www.dadamo.com. They have Coleus Forskhillin
available.
May your friend enjoy good health!!
