What to eat when visiting friends. . .
I tell friends that I am hard to cook for and they ask what shall
they make:
I say: salad with no dressing and steak and/or Sashimi !
If I go to a pot luck, I always take deviled-eggs made with oil and/or
mustard and chopped greens instead of mayo and I am sure that there is a
protein there than I can eat. If I have never been to a party there
before I also include celery on that plate so there is a vegi and a protein
and I can usually manage ’til I get home.
It is hell going to a place where there are chips and guacamole and/or all
sorts of cheese and crackers and wine which I love.
I also usually make sure I eat something before I go, like almond butter
that will stick with me and then I am not so tempted.

problem for me, I think, is what to serve others when they come over.
Especially the younger generation — everything they like is ‘prepared’
foods! They really think I’m a weirdo! Carol
Ah yes, Carol. But a healthy weirdo! LOL
